The 12th Annual Nrityanjali celebration held at the Sri Lakshmi Temple in Ashland was a marvelous presentation featuring some of the finest classical dances. Over 150 dancers performed for over eight hours. Beginners to seasoned professionals gave their best to please the Divine Audience - Lord Shiva.

A musical event dedicated to one of the greatest Bollywood lyricist/poet Sahir Ludhianvi was held on March 10 at the Chinmaya Maruti Auditorium in Andover, MA. The event directed by Siraj Khan featured several local talents who paid their tribute through music, dance and poetry.

Somen Saha and Lopa Jamb presented a thrilling fundraising concert to support the Lukemia Society on March 17th at the Keefe Technical school auditorium in Framingham, MA. The event featured a wonderful variety of Bollywood numbers ranging from the romantic songs that touch the heart to rocking numbers that had the audience leave their seats and start dancing.

Ekal Vidyalaya Raises Over 100k
The warm and welcoming event was a delightful evening for attendees filled with inspiration, fabulous music and a great dinner. “Appreciation” was central to the evening as each donor, no matter what the amount donated, was acknowledged and thanked. Over $100,000 were raised during the pledge drive. More than 400 people attended the event.

Pitchfest, Youth Panel And TiE Stars At TiECON East
TiECON East, the annual conference of TiE, added several new dimensions to celebrate the achievements of TiE Members and support new entrepreneurs. A panel featuring very successful entrepreneurs under the age of thirty moderated by Pawan Deshpande, son of Desh Deshpande, was inspirational. The panel included Varun Ganapathi of Wayland, MA who at 28 has already sold two companies.

When Melodies Become Memories
Those who attended Melodies & Memories at Ashland’s David Mindess School on June 2nd were treated to a musical feast of the entire era of songs (1950-75) in one evening, where every song rendered was symbolic of each year. These were presented collectively by the most popular artistes of Boston’s local music scene and supported by the finest emcees in town.
