Indo-American teen band CHUTNEY performs music for a cause
A team of musically talented high-schoolers are super excited to present jaunty Bollywood and Western songs through their band "Chutney", under the stewardship of an expert musician/vocalist/composer DJ (Debajyoti), accompanied by virtuoso bassist Jay Matrona and drummer Shantanu Sen. More so, they want to uphold a charitable mission - raise money for OBLF USA, a non-profit organization working towards improvement of education (literacy) and livelihood in rural and peri-urban India. The band made a solid impression with creative musical arrangements and harmonies when they performed at an Indian festival in the Boston area last fall. Come, join us at Ignite - to experience music with a purpose and support the teenagers as they combine their talent, energy and passion to cast a spell.
