ForSE 2012: Conference for Social Entrepreneurs The TiE-Boston SE SIG is excited to plan a one-day conference for the sixth consecutive year. In partnership with MIT’s Society for Asian Scientists and Engineers, the SE SIG will be hosting ForSE 2012: Forum for Social Entrepreneurs. 21st Century Challenges: New Ideas, New Approaches and New Solutions†on Saturday, October 27 at MIT. ForSE brings together social innovators with leading business professionals, investors, donors, government officials, academics, and students to facilitate the sharing of new technology and business ideas along with hard-earned management learning to foster social venture concepts and promote informed action to nurture social enterprises. ForSE had always received an overwhelming response and the sessions have been oversubscribed providing a first-of-its-kind opportunity for Boston’s emerging and established social enterprises to identify and recruit talent, meet potential partners to support their organizational growth, share best practices with peers, and interact with senior executives from Boston’s leading companies, non-profit / social ventures, foundations, philanthropies, and beyond. Key Highlights: 1. Keynote Sessions by leading social entrepreneurs 2. Four tracks on Education, Livlihoods, Health and Sanitation and an Implementation track 3. Unconference session after the panels, continue the conversation with panelists in an informal setting. 4. Pitch contest where new social entrepreneurs, can refine their pitch, test their ideas and wow a panel of seasoned judges.
