Ramakrishnan World-jazz ensemble Natraj celebrates its 25th anniversary with a concert. This show features guest, Chennai-based Indian percussion virtuoso, T. K. Long-time Natraj collaborator Mridanga Vidwan T. K. Ramakrishnan brings his percussive wizardry to Natraj’s world-jazz for Natraj’s 25th anniversary show, featuring the band’s contemporary approach to tradition-rooted music. Ramakrishnan is a master of the South Indian mridangam (barrel-shaped hand drum) and solkattu (rhythmic recitation).
