In this lecture, Professor Eck will speak on her > forthcoming book, India: A Sacred Geography, which will be published by > Random House in March 2012. Her lecture will look at the land of India > as a living landscape in which mountains, rivers, forests, and cities > are elaborately linked to the stories of the gods and the heroes. This > landscape also connects places to one another through local, regional, > and trans-regional pilgrimage and has been significant in the creation > of both regional and national identities.
