Ashit Desai’s rich and melodious voice has captivated audiences worldwide. Ashit and Hema have contributed significantly in popularizing Gujarati Sugam Sangeet. Well known for his light classical, devotional and folk music, Ashit is a sought after composer for dramas, dance ballets, TV serials and films. He has been closely associated with Pandit Ravi Shankar when he placed Ashit for arranging music for ‘Asiad’ which won him ‘Asiad Jyoti’ medal. Ashit has been honored time and again by the music world. He has composed semi-classical and devotional songs rendered by Padmashri Ajay Chakravarti, Hariharan, Jagjeet Singh, Suresh Wadekar and others.
Hemangini has delighted the listeners with her beautiful & soulful voice. Her study of both music and literature is reflected in the intensity with which she sings light classical music, devotional songs and ghazals.
