Silk Road Gala
The 18th annual Silk Road Gala 2011 is featuring star chef Ming Tsai, host of “Simply Mingâ€, and chef/owner of Blue Ginger Restaurant, as this year’s Gala Chair. Other local celebrity chefs joining Tsai, are Jody Adams of Rialto, Joanne Chang of Myers + Chang and Flour Bakery + Café, Ting San of Oishii Boston, and Jasper White of Summer Shack. This year’s event is chaired by Laura Sen, President and CEO of BJ’s Wholesale Club, Patti Salem, Barret and Company, and Deeb Salem, M.D., Physician-in-Chief of Tufts Medical Center. Janet Wu from 7NEWS/CW56 will emcee the event. The past VIP guests include Daisuke Matsuzaka, Boston Red Sox Player, First Lady of Massachusetts Diane Patrick, Mayor of Boston Thomas Menino, and First Lady of Boston Angela Menino.
