Seventh Annual 5K Run/Walk - Asha for Education, NYC/NJ Chapter
Asha for Education NYC/NJ chapter is excited to host the seventh annual 5K Run/Walk to raise funds to educate underprivileged children in India. The 5K Run/Walk will take place Saturday, April 17 at 9:00 a.m. at Riverside Park, New York City. Each year, participants, young and old, run or walk a 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) route and raise funds through pledged donations. Prizes are given to the top fundraisers and fastest runners. Since its inception in 2004, the 5K Run/Walk events have raised over $100,000 for Asha through individual donations, corporate sponsorships and other contributions. This year, we welcome you to join us in participating in our 5K Run/Walk and begin fundraising for Asha's projects in India. The Asha 5K Run/Walk is a great place to learn about our projects, to meet new people, to win great prizes and to get involved in a meaningful cause. So bring a friend, a co-worker or a family member to a great day of fun and join us in making education a gift that every child deserves.
