Jugalbandi and lecture-demonstration of Hindustani and Carnatic music styles
The Karnatic and Hindustani Music Circle (KHMC) brings to you a special flavor of Hindustani and Carnatic style together in a melodious jugalbandi and a lecture-demonstration by eminent musicians of the New England area, Dr Suresh Mathur (flute) and Dr Ram Naidu (Veena), accompanied by Akshay Navaladi(tabla) and Mahalingam Santhanakrishnan (mridangam). This concert would be particularly interesting to students of Indian music. Music and dance teachers, please encourage your students to attend, as the artists will be sharing their valuable experience over many years of performing and teaching Indian classical music.
