Join SAATh--South Asian American Theatre’s Acting Workshop!
Always wanted to take up acting as a serious hobby? Interested in getting acting jobs and acting in local theater? South Asian American Theater’s artistic director Irfan Malik will be giving a series of five acting workshops beginning August 29. The workshops will primarily involve scene studies. Scenes from contemporary plays--South Asian and non-South Asian--will be assigned to actors. Actors will be responsible for meeting with their scene partners to rehearse between workshops. No prior acting experience necessary. August 29--Acting exercises and voice training (optional but highly recommended) September 5--Scene work September 12--Scene work September 19--Scene work September 26--Scene work Admission is limited, so reserve your spot right away!
