Talk and Seminar Series: The Power to be Healthy – Part II.
Do something often enough and it becomes a habit. Behavior that is just a little wayward can undermine our well-being and even develop into an obsession or addiction. Repeated, good practices imprint patterns that guarantee our health and happiness. So what makes people flourish? What they eat? What they do? How they relate to themselves and others? Find out in part I. of this two-part conversation, how health can be a decision that, based on a stable and powerful practice, gives the best chance for sustained success. Our presenter this month is Merrillyn Hener. Merrillyn has a master’s degree in physical therapy from Boston University, works in “integrated rehabilitation” by combining western therapeutic practices with reiki, yoga & visualization techniques. Merrillyn runs the Rehabilitation for All Foundation, which works to bring needed physical rehabilitation to under-served countries. She is a certified reiki practitioner, teaches hatha yoga & practices Raja Yoga meditation while living in Ethiopia. All are welcome!
