Government & Politics: Making an Impact
Asian Women's Connection presents “Government and Politics: Making an Impact” Panel featuring: -Mayor Lisa Wong of Fitchburg -Grace H. Lee, First Deputy Treasurer and General Counsel for the Massachusetts Treasurer Timothy P. Cahill -Alona Abalos, Board Member of the Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus, Director of Corporate Programs for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Asian Women’s Connection, Inc. (AWC) celebrates Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month with a panel program, “Government and Politics: Making an Impact.” The event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Many Asian professional women, who are successful in their businesses, industries and charitable interests, are looking for guidance and resources to do more or make a bigger impact. On May 22, Asian American women leaders will describe their personal journeys, provide information about different levels of engagement, and identify resources and opportunities for engagement and impact by Asian American professional women.
