Hope in Healthcare Retreat and Dialogue
Meditation is an important method of restoring the balance at many levels. Like any skill, meditation requires practice to achieve positive and long lasting results. As a result of this retreat, you can be assured that you will have a strong beginning (or a substantial renewal) of a practice that can become a life-long natural and easy habit. You and your patients and their families will benefit tremendously with an improved sense of calm and clear focus.

Further, peer reviewed literature in psychology and physiology documents the health enhancing benefits of the practice of regular meditation. But many health professionals confess that, as much as they understand the compelling data, they have not devoted the time to learning well how to meditate in their own lives. We all seem too busy to stop to do this. Here is an opportunity for you to take the time to stop and develop a life-long gift you can give to yourself, to your patients, and all those you care about.

The Hope in Health Care retreat at Peace Village will focus on 1) evidence of physiological and psychological benefits of meditation and 2) the learning and actual practice of this important stress -- relieving tool – meditation.

Who Should Register: Health care professionals in traditional health care settings, such as hospitals, home care and out -patient clinics - physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and social workers dealing directly with patients and their families.
