Kalpanam
Kalpanam is the annual celebration of South Asian classical music and dance. The evening highlights the beauty of these diverse art forms with individual pieces and culminates in a full-length Bharatanatyam dance drama depicting episodes from the Hindu epic Ramayana. Starring the virtuous and beloved prince Rama, this dance drama tells the story of Rama starting with his marriage to Sita till the ultimate showdown between Rama and the evil king, Ravana. With rhythmic dance sequences, moving expressive pieces, and dramatic battles against demons, nature, and evil itself, Kalpanam promises to be a memorable evening of music and art that you will not want to miss.
