Sitar and Tabla
India’s favorite young classical musician Purbayan Chatterjee in concert on Saturday, October 27 at 8:00 PM in Bowker Auditorium, UMass at Amherst This is a rare treat for all music lovers in the Pioneer Valley as this will a first performance at the University by this virtuosic Sitar player who be accompanied on the Tabla by the well known Kolkata based drummer, Abhijit Bannerjee. A musical prodigy Purbayan has been amazing audiences world wide with his skill for almost twenty five years.

Directions: Take I-90 W (MA Pike) Take Exit 4 – I-91N, Holyoke Take Exit 19-Route 9/UMass Bear to right off ramp - Rt. 9, Hadley, Amherst, UMass Go about 5 miles and make a left on Rt. 116 North (look for signs that say UMass next left) Go about 1 mile ramp on right for UMass. Make right at end of ramp. Get in left lane and go straight through flashing light and make a left at next stoplight (Commonwealth Ave.) Stay in right lane. Entrance to the Parking Garage on Right.
