Tom Stoppard Following on the success of "Bend it Like Auntie" & "NetSAP Comedy Mela", NetSAP-Boston in association with Small World Big Sky presents Tom Stoppard's "Indian Ink" Produced & Directed by Sarah Krohn Nirad: "To tell you the truth, this is the first time I have been alone in a room with an Englishwoman" Flora: "Oh. Well, you certainly started at the deep end..." Set in the year 1930 during Indian's struggle for Independence, Tom Stoppard's Indian Ink chronicles the brief, transformative and possibly erotic relationship between between Flora Crewe, an English poet and Nirad Das, an Indian artist. Fifty-some years later, Floras younger sister Eleanor, Nirad's son, Anish, and Eldon Pike, an American professor writing about Flora, attempt to piece together the elusive truth about the pair's mysterious relationship. Packed with Stoppard's trademark wit and wordplay, Indian Ink is a thought-provoking, elegant, passionate and sweeping account of accidents of fate and love that examines complicated questions of art, history, and identity. Sarah Krohn's directing credits include Hamlet for New Rep on Tour as well as Small World Big Sky's productions of The Illusion and A Doll's House.
