Puspen Dey - A Master Sarode Player in Concert
Raagmaala cordially invites you to an evening of Superb Indian Classical Music and Cuisine. The concert features Brilliant Sarode player Puspen Dey from Calcutta, India, along with ace percussionist Nitin Mitta on Tabla.
Puspen is a student of the distinguished Sarode Maestro Pundit Buddhadev Das Gupta. He is an A-grade artiste of All India Radio & TV and had the privilege of performing in the prestigious National Music Programme of AIR in the year 2003. Besides being a popular concert performer, he has an outstanding acumen for teaching. He has conducted lecture demonstrations and workshops in institutions all over the world.

Nitin Mitta represents the popular Farrukhabad Tabla Tradition and has studied with respected teachers Pundit Satyanarayana and Pundit Arvind Mulgaonkar of the same school. Nitin is a recipient of the Master grant of Rhode Island State Council on the Arts and has performed with several top ranking Indian Musicians such as Pt. Jasraj, Pt. Viswamohan Bhatt, Dr. Prabha Atrey, Dr. Veena Sahasrabuddhe, Pt. Buddhaditya Mukherjee, Ustad Shahid Pervez and Pt. Ramesh Mishra among others.
