Protein Effects on Cell Biomechanics and their Consequences for Human Diseases - Prof. Suresh / MIT Prof. Suresh is credited with making significant contributions to the areas of thin films, mechanical properties, fracture and fatigue, and nanomechanics of single biomolecules and cells. He has authored many research articles and books, and is co-inventor on fourteen US and international patents. He is the recipent of numerous prestigious awards and is a distinguished alumnus of IIT, Madras. In his talk titled 'Protein effects on cell biomechanics and their consequences for human diseases', Prof. Suresh will discuss his current work on nanomechanics of biological cells and molecules, and their relationship to human diseases.
