Ekal Sur Sandhya 2006 / TX Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of USA, S. Florida chapter, is inviting you to an enchanting musical evening Ekal Sur Sandhya 2006 with dinner, Saturday, August 26, 4:00 pm, live concert will begin at 5:00 pm. This annual event is organized to celebrate the achievements of some half a million tribal children currently enrolled in over 16,000 Ekal Vidyalaya schools spread across India’s rural landscape and to raise funds for millions more aspiring for a better tomorrow through education. Prince of Ghazals and Bhajans Kumar Sunil Mungee with Hemendra Mahavar on Tabla & Indro Roy Chowdhary on Sitar will take you through a memorable journey in the Auditorium at Broward County Main Library in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Sunil Ji organized two unique, high impact concerts, one for hospitals and nursing homes in New Jersey, Healing through Indian Music and the other The Journey to Music of India. Both concerts were exceptionally popular with the main stream Americans, giving them a flavor of the variety in Hindustani Music.
