FREE Intro. to Bharatanatyam class
Introduction to Bharatanatyam Wednesdays 6-7pm Brookline Community Center for the Arts (BCCA) In this course, students will delve into the key components that define this dance form—rhythmic footwork, intricate hand gestures, subtle facial movements and expressions. Students will be taught a piece specifically constructed for the course that deconstructs Bharatanatyam into its essential elements in order to build the dance from the base up, allowing a beginner to understand and explore this dance form. Each class will begin and end with a series of stretches based on the Hatha yoga tradition.
