Indian Classical Concert by Hariprasad Chaurasia
Hari Prasad Chaurasia is a world-renowned virtuoso of the bamboo flute (bansuri). By an uncanny development of breathing and blowing techniques, Panditji can produce an astounding four octaves on this simple bamboo flute with no frets or keys to define notes. His playing has been described as haunting, melodic and mesmerizing.
Panditji will be accompanied by Pandit Bhawani Shankar Kathak on the pakhawaj, Debopriya Chatterjee Ranadive on the flute and Rimpa Siva (16 year old child prodigy) on the tabla.
