India Day - Rhode Island
INDIA DAY Celebration in Rhode Island Sat., August 14, 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Station Park (across from Providence Place Mall), followed by a cultural program from 8 PM to 10 PM at Water Place Park, Providence, RI. The Indian community of Greater Rhode Island, with the support from fifteen Indian community organizations from RI and MA, celebrates India Day - Rhode Island 2004 - 57th anniversary of India’s Independence. The event includes an exciting Cultural program: Boston Bhangra, Raas-Garba by FOGANA teams, numerous folk and classical dances, and live instrumental music; “Incredible India” exhibit featuring cultural heritage of India, interactive Yoga lessons, etc.; “India Bazaar” featuring a splendid array of Indian products: food, clothing, handicrafts; Indian games and more…
