Sri Lakshmi Temple Celebrates Ekadina Laksharchana for Subrahmanya
The divine creation of Lord Subrahmanya, also known as Skanda/Karthikeya/Kanda/Murugan, to alleviate the sufferings of the Devas is believed to have occured on Vaikasi Vishakam day (Vishaka nakshatra in the Tamil month of Vaikasi -- mid May -- mid June). Today\\\\\\\'s event celebrates this divine creation by continually worshipping Lord Karthikeya with Sahasranama Archana (1008 names) until atleast 100 Sahasranamas (Laksharchana) is achieved.
