Tom Campbell, Dean of UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and former Congressman and California State Senator

Dean Tom Campbell of the Haas School of Business brings his extensive experience in academia, business and public policy to the University of California, Berkeley. He taught law at Stanford University from 1983 to 2002. He was elected five times to represent the Silicon Valley in the US House of Representatives, 1989-1993 and 1995-2000. During a two-year term as California state senator (1993-1995), he earned ratings by the Sacramento-based California Journal as the most ethical state senator, the best overall senator, and the senate's best problem-solver. Dean Campbell holds a BA and MA in economics from the University of Chicago, a JD from Harvard, and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago. His wife, Susanne, works at the UC Berkeley-based Institute of Management, Innovation & Organization
