Gehri Dosti: Five Short Plays With A South Asian Bent
The plays of GEHRI DOSTI deal with themes of same-sex love in a South Asian context. They take their audience on a stylistic and emotional journey across cultures, asking them to confront issues unique to individuals marginalized by their sexuality in the developing world, specifically in South Asia, individuals who are most often dangerously eroticized or, more often, rendered invisible.
Starring Sudarshan Belsare, Rupak Bhattacharya '05, Nandita Dinesh, Zehra Fazal, Poorna Jagannathan, Anjali Khurana '04, Nitin Puri, Anita Raghuwanshi '04, Donald Ringuette, Weerawat Runguphan '06 and Fred Smith '04. Produced by Naresh Ramarajan.
