Mr. Mahadevan will discuss some of the new findings he has in his book (published by Harvard Oriental Series) such as the evolution of South Indian scripts from Brahmi, relationship between Karnataka and Tamil Jains, voicing of intervocalic sounds in South Indian languages, etc.
