Beginner Bharatanatyam Classes
Classes will focus on the development and perfection of basic technique through adavus, the fundamental units of movement. Students will also be taught a short piece and will be introduced to basic rhythmic concepts in Carnatic music. No experience necessary. Weekly classes begin Friday, September 12th and will be ongoing. Aparna Keshaviah has been trained in the Pandanallur style of Bharatanatyam for 20 years. She has performed and has given lecture demonstrations in various cities in the U.S. and in India.
