Artists Partha Sarathi Chatterjee is a one of the leading sitarists of his generation. He is a disciple of Pandit Indranil Bhattacharya of the Senia-Maihar Gharana, in the tradition of legendary Baba Allauddin Khan Saheb. Partha Sarathi Chatterjee has developed a unique style on the sitar, through his tutelage in the varied styles of classical music of India (Senia-Maihar and Imdadkhani) and influences of the Kasur-Patiyala style. Apoorva Gokhale and Pallavi Joshi represent the 5th generation in the lineage of legendary musicians. They received rigorous training from their grandfather Pandit Gajananrao Joshi, whose gayaki was a perfect blend of three Gharanas Gwalior, Jaipur and Agra. Their coherent presentation of khyal is an aesthetic blending of imaginative alaap, exquisite patterns of swaras, unfolding of the raga with all its beauty and dignity, combined with an innate sense of laya (rhythm).
