India Association of Rhode Island Presents "Sham - E - Ghazal" - A Mesmerizing Light Music Evening By Kumar Sunil Mungee - The "Prince of Ghazals"
Kumar Sunil is an artist with tremendous versatility and expertise in various Indian musical art forms. He is a disciple of late Padmashree Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki, under whose tutelage he has been trained for a period of 15 years. Kumar has performed in Australia, Canada, Dubai, UK, European Countries, Singapore and East Africa. With a strong classical base his voice and music has been highly appreciated by large audiences both Indian and American. He makes a terrific impact on the listeners of true Urdu poetry and Ghazals at all his Concerts. His Ghazals feature soothing and melodious compositions highlighting the importance of Hindustani Classical in rich Ghazal form. His command of the language enables him to bring out the true authentic flavors of Ghazals, not only touching the heart of the listener but has also been fortunate to get blessings of Maestros as well. This Concert is accompanied by inputs from the artist, as he explains to his listeners too during his concert, thus bringing the maximum participation of the entire crowd, breaking all barriers of language. This evening is a classic amalgamation of Light Classical music- Ghazals and old Hindi film songs mesmerizes the listeners and thus leaving a terrific impact, making the listeners enjoy to the fullest.
