KHELAIYA - Gujarati Comedy Drama
Khelaiya tells an age-old tale. Its ingredients are simple: a boy, a girl, two fathers, and a wall. Its scenery, a tattered cardboard moon, hovers over an empty wooden platform. With these bare essentials, writer Chandrakant Shah (Boston), Music directors Rajat Dholakia, Sachin Sanghvi and director Umesh Shukla has re-created a theatrical phenomenon unmatched in the Gujarati Theatre world. Khelaiya brings to life a funny and quite touching story of innocence--and of knowledge.
