Adi-Shankara is a movie about the life and teachings of Shankara, the great Hindu philosopher and poet of the 8th century. Produced by the National Film Development Corporation in 1983, with direction and screenplay by G.V. Iyer and cinematography by Madhu Ambat. Music by M. Balamurali Krishna and Art Direction by P. Krishnamoorthy with editing by V.R.K. Prasad. Color/130 minutes, in Sanskrit with English subtitles.
