Diwali celebration - Museum of Fine Arts
Activities will include a gallery talk, sketching in the galleries, music and dance. Admission will be FREE to all.
· Listen and dance to contemporary Indian beats spun by DJ Pup Dawg from Jam’n 94.5. Drop in anytime.
· Watch Shuruthe Raju, a student of Sujatha Meyyappan's Kolam Academy of Dance, and member of the Museum's Teen Arts council, take the stage for a captivating performance of Bharathanatyam dance.
· Join Ph.D. student Rachel Tolano as she discusses the visual culture of the Chola period, one of the longest-lived and most powerful dynasties of South India's history.
· Get drawing tips and ideas from an artist as you sketch in the galleries. All ages and abilities welcome!
· Taste Café and Wine Bar - Meet up with other Diwali revelers and stop by to purchase a coffee, snacks, or a glass of wine.
