VPS Hosts 12th Annual Cricket Tournament

Summer is around the corner, despite the recent cloudy days that suggest otherwise. The Vrindavana Preservation Society(VPS) will once again usher in the arrival of this season, with its tradition event, the annual Cricket tournament.
The 12th annual VPS Cricket tournament, the most prestigious Cricket tournament in all new England at the scenic Joy Hanlon Fields in Quincy. Twenty four teams will battle for the coveted trophy. Last year’s winner was Waltham 11. Who will it be this time?
In addition, there will also be a tournament for women and children on the final day of the tournament. As customary in all VPS events, complementary free meals will be provided for all attendees, including players, volunteers and spectators on all days of the tournament.
Please plan on joining us for three fun-filled days of Cricket, music and fun at this family friendly event. The venue of the tournament, is the Joy Hanlon fields in Quincy, a scenic spot with a small beach overlooking the backwaters of Quincy.
If the previous years of this tournament are any indication, this year’s tournament promises to be a roaring success. VPS is a Quincy based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Indian culture in New England and around the world. Whether you are a fan of Cricket, or simply curious, you are encouraged to come with friends and family to attend the event. We look forward to your joining us in the celebration.

• Dates: Weekends of June 7th and 8th, Weekends of June 14th and 15th, Weekend of June 21st and 22nd.
• The finals will be held on June 22nd.
• The womens’ tournament and the children’s tournament will also be held on the 22nd.
