04/23/2014 Sudha Ragunathan, one of India’s finest classical musicians, will be performing in a benefit concert at English High School Auditorium, Jamaica Plain, Boston, on Saturday, May 10. Concert proceeds will benefit grassroots groups in India supported by Association for India’s Development (AID). Tickets can be bought at http://aidevents.org. Sudha Ragunathan is a stalwart in the field of Carnatic music. She is a highly respected vocalist and composer, who received the highest award in Carnatic Music, ‘Sangita Kalanidhi’, in 2013. Among many other accolades and honors, she was awarded the Padmashri in 2004 by the Government of India, for her distinguished service in the field of Carnatic Vocal music.
