South Asian Health & Wellness Expo

INE Media Inc., the producer of special events and exhibitions, today announced that area’s leading physicians and integrated healthcare providers have joined New England’s second mega South Asian Health & Wellness Expo, which will be held on April 20, 2014, at the Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA. This year’s Expo is once again chaired by Dr. Manju Sheth from Lahey Health.
Dr. Sanjiv Chopra, Professor of Medicine, Faculty Dean of Continuing Medical Education at Harvard Medical School, will be the keynote speaker at the event. Dr. Chopra leads the most robust academic Continuing Medical Education enterprise in the world, reaching out to 80,000 clinicians and 150 countries each year. Other main speakers at the Expo include Dr. Dinesh Patel, Chief of Arthroscopic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School; Dr. Om Ganda, Director of Lipid Clinic at Joslin Diabetes; Dr. Salil Midha, President of Boston Cardiac Foundation and Chief of Cardiology at Melrose Wakefield Hospital; and Dr. Sonal Pandya, Co-Director of the Lahey Lexington Center for Plastic and Laser Surgery Group of Lahey Health.
“We are very excited that these leading physicians have joined the 2014 Health & Wellness Expo. Overall we will have about 20 speakers,†said Dr. Sheth. “This will be a very special event because for the first time we are bringing ‘everything possible’ related to healthcare under one roof. And on the top of all that it is a free event.â€
The Health Expo, which is free for the attendees, will bring area’s major hospitals and health care providers together with the South Asian community in New England to educate them about common diseases and their prevention. Supported by several community and professional organizations, the Expo will cover the following topics:
