Over 400 people attended the New Year’s eve party hosted by United India Association. Titled “Dance Pe Chance”, the event was held at the Westin hotel in Waltham, MA. 

‘Black and Gold” was the dress theme for the evening and the women glittered in their stylish black and gold outfits. The evening opened with a welcome address by Dr. Seema Arora who was herself glittering in her fabulous outfit. 

 

The entertainment part of the evening started of with belly dancing where different aspects of belly dancing technique were showcased. From balancing of a candle tray on the head to swords balanced on the hip the belly dancers used props in unique ways to embellish their performance. A rocking number by Neil Arora & Ishita Rao followed. 

The guests took to the floor and danced to the music of Desi DJs Magic Mike, a group from New York.  There were a few games for adults. There was a separate kids room featuring magic show and kid games. 

The balloon drop was shown on the giant screens and guests adorned in party hats, tiaras and garlands welcomed the New Year! The UIA committee with Dr. Seema Arora,Rakashi Chand,Rekha Parliwala,Rashmikant Vyas,Anil Sood,Nikita Rao,Vikas Selhi,Rakesh Soni,Neeta Dutta,Surender Kapoor,Dr.Sapna Aggarwal,Parvin Khetarpal,Dr.Neela Gandhi,Kidar Vaid,Jatinder Sharma,Subhash Varshney,Dolly Raja,Suresh Gidwani and Shobha Khetarpal worked hard to present a fun evening. Bollywood Grill catered dinner. 

A festive event, the party marked a nice beginning for the New Year.
