PEM Opens Pivotal Show Of Modern Indian Art The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) presents Midnight to the Boom: Painting in India after Independence, an exhibition spanning three generations of Indian painters who changed the way we think of Indian art. A 55 Km Walk On The Beaches Of Goa Raises $80 K Attempting to do a 55 Km walk was a crazy idea! Yet the actual implementation of the walk on a beautiful beach in Goa turned out to be a mind opening experience. Learning about interesting social enterprises in India while raising money for a great cause was a truly exhilarating experience. The combined monies raised for UMMEED from all the walkers were over $80,000. The logistics of the walk was done by a New England AIF Fellow. [more]
