Sanjay Saxena 11/19/2013 In it's annual tradition of Diwali-at-Dwarkmai, a vibrant and joyous celebration was held featuring 'Deep-Yagna,' as its central ceremony. On a Saturday evening of November 9th, over 200 devotees gathered for this soul absorbing DiwaliDeep Yagna and Sri Laxmi Puja celebration in greater Boston suburb of Billerica. Presiding deity of Shirdi Sai Baba overlooking the arrays of brilliantly lit deepkas, appeared magnificently showering His blessings on a house full of devotees. The evening rolled out with Sri Hanuman Chaalisa and traditional bhajan invoking Sri Sai Baba. Neeta Rathi and Sangeeta Saxena also melodiously rendered “Pragya Geetsâ€, which are made very popular by the Gayatri Pariwar. Master Swami Saxena, delighted the audience with his skillful and spontaneous accompaniment on tabla. As such “Deep Yagna†helps popularizing the philosophy of Yagna for the busy lifestyle of modern times. Devotees lighted 108 lamps to perform “Deep Yagnaâ€. Entire congregation participated in the “Gayatri Mantra Aahutisâ€. Sri Laxmi Gayatri, Sai Gayatri and Mahamrityunjaya Mantra Aahutis, were also offered. The entire celebration was lucidly interspersed with the elucidation of the philosophy behind all the Puja activities performed throughout the evening. Yagya / Pujan ceremony was conducted and presided over by Sangeeta Saxena, another volunteer and priestess of Gayatri Pariwar. Shri Dwarkamai Vidyapeeth, Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Center of Spiritual Excellence, welcomes all devotees for the grace and blessings of Sai Baba.
