10 years in the making.  This will be the 10th anniversary of the Boston Bhangra Competition.  SOLD OUT for the last 9 years…3,000 person attendance….the best teams from North America & Canada…advertising and promotion on international television via TV ASIA.  This is what you will get from the 10th annual Boston Bhangra Competition.  It looks like Boston Bhangra has found a niche market where they have been able to get some of the best teams from North America, some great live performing artists and cheap tickets to keep this an event on the up and up.  This year should be no different.

The Boston Bhangra Competition, called BBC for short, will be hosted on November 16th, 2013 at the Orpheum Theatre.  The event has been sold out every year at one of the most historical theatres in Boston, which is located at 1 Hamilton Place in Boston, MA.  The capacity is close to 3,000 people, and they hope to sell out for the 10th straight year.

This year, the competition will have teams from all over the US and Canada.  They will have teams from locations as far west as California, and as close as Boston.  States represented include California, Texas, Illinois, Virginia, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Toronto Canada and of course Boston, MA. These teams have consistently done well in many competitions, and they will once again make it difficult on the judges.

Since this is the 10th year of Boston Bhangra, and we’re going all out this year! We don’t have one, not two, but three artists coming this year! We have a professional comedian, folk superstar and an urban legend coming that will light up the stage even brighter this year! You don’t want to miss it. Mickey Singh - Artist
Born and raised in India, Mickey began singing at the tender age of 3. After moving to the US at 14 Mickey explored his musical creativity and developed an artistic blend of South Asian and western sounds. With support from his family to pursue his artistic passion he recognized the importance of heritage and culture no matter where you might live in the world. Taking a different approach to Urban-Desi fusion Mickey is set to truly bridge the gap between Indian and American music genres. His music energetic and smooth at the same time creatively laces the best of east and west in a way that audiences everywhere can relate to. On stage Mickey creatively incorporates Hip Hop and Bhangra dance and is sure to get you out of your seats. Not being afraid to think outside the box, this singer/songwriter/producer is a breath of fresh-air in a market of overly commercial manufactured sounds.

Dev Dhillon - Artist
Hailing from Punjab & now residing in the UK. Dev Dhillon is one of the purest folk vocalists to have emerged from the Punjabi music scene in the last decade. In the year of 2004, Dev had made a place for himself in UK’s elite Bhangra team ‘Gabhru Punjab Dhe GPD’ shortly after arriving from India. Dev was the leading vocalist for the group and had successfully performed all over the UK & worldwide gathering popularity and building a strong fan base. The year 2005 saw Dev team up with renowned music producer Aman Hayer for his debut singles ‘Munde’ & ‘Bhangra Vich’. After receiving a great response from his debut singles, Dev had continued to team up with Aman Hayer and featured on the albums ‘Groundshaker 2’ & ‘The Entourage’ with the smash hit singles ‘Chak Dow Ge’ & ‘Ajj Nachna’ which was a duet with Angrez Ali, Benny Dhaliwal & Aman Hayer himself. Late November 2012 had seen Dev release his anticipated debut album titled ‘’Mulakaat’ which featured 8 versatile songs such as ‘Ankhi’ & ‘Hor Nachna’, and was produced once again by the infamous music machine Aman Hayer.

Jus Reign - MC
Made famous through his insanely funny Youtube videos; Jus Reign has risen to become one of the most famous faces in Desi comedy! Through his Youtube channel; which now boasts nearly 130,000 subscribers and over 28 million combined views, Jus Reign has built up quite the fan following! Not content with being famous on Youtube, Jus Reign has also hosted a number of huge events, most recently ‘The Bhangra Showdown’ in London, infront of a packed audience of 4000 people! His ability to think on the spot & keep people laughing makes him a perfect host for any event.
