SWARAAG announces its auditions for the 2013 Bollywood Music & Dance Competition on OCT 5^th at Sheraton, Framinghan, MA. This year’s competition at SwaRaag brings us 4 categories: Solo Song, Duo Song, Duo Dance & Group Dance.  Oct 5^th auditions will be for Solo Song, Duo Song and Duo Dance categories. Group Dance auditions are by video to be sent by end of day Oct 13^th. To participate in the competition visit www.swaraag.org download the fill-able registration form and email it to bollywood@SwaRaag.org A contestant can participate in multiple categories. Duo Song and Duo Dance categories represent a performance by a pair in any gender combination.

 

Finalists who make it through the auditions shall be notified in the following week and their best performance will be presented on OCT 26^th at the SWARAAG 2013 Bollywood Music & Dance Competition. If you need more details contact Swathi Subramanian at 617.905.4305.  

 

 

Solo Song & Duo Song age divisions are: a) 10 to 16  b) 17 to 30 c) 31 and over

Duo Dance age divisions are: a) 10 to 16  b) 17 and over

 

The song for the Solo Song and Duo Song categories needs to be comprised of lyrics from mostly a Bollywood movie/album. The dance routine for the Duo Dance & Group Dance categories to be performed on Bollywood-like songs. If the songs for any of the categories are mixed in any regional language, they should continue to have a Bollywood-like feel. Multiple songs can be combined as in a medley. The performance at the auditions on OCT 5^th can either be repeated or changed for the finals on OCT 26th.
