Shirish Nimgaonkar, Managing Director and head of C.W. Downer’s global technology transactions and India operations, has been named a winner in the Dealmaker category for the M&A Advisor's 4th Annual "40 Under 40" recognition awards.

Shirish has been recognized by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders for his accomplishments and expertise in dealmaking. The M&A Advisor created the "40 Under 40" award event to promote mentorship and professional development amongst emerging business leaders. "In 2010 we initiated the 40 Under 40 Awards to recognize the emerging leaders of the M&A, Financing and Turnaround industries," said David Fergusson, President of The M&A Advisor. Shirish has had extensive experience in strategy, corporate development, and operations in the US, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining C.W. Downer, he led the technology and private equity transactions practice for a cross-border M&A advisory firm. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for the strategy, growth and operations initiatives at several major IT services companies. He has also managed strategic operations, product management, marketing and fundraising initiatives for a large semiconductor company and for startup companies in the US. He has a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology where he was recognized as an ITC management scholar, M.S. from Stanford University and an M.B. A. from Harvard Business School. Mr. Nimgaonkar is also a professional musician and an avid sailor. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi and Telugu.
