Anudha Mittal, a graduate student in the Mikhoyan group, received the Distinguished Scholar Award from the Microbeam Analysis Society (MAS) at the Annual Microscopy and Microanalysis 2013 meeting in Indianapolis, IN> She received the award in recognition of her research on electron beam channeling in atomic columns presented at the M&M 2013 meeting. The Distinguished Scholar Award, which is the most prestigious MAS student award, is given on the basis of the quality of the research paper where a student is the primary author.  

Anudha Mittal did her schooling from Westboro High School and Chemical Engineering from UMass Amherst. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate at Univ. of MN. Anudha likes reading, hiking, being outdoors and exploring places. Her long-term career goal is to do research in R&D or at a national lab.
