Appeal to donate for Uttarakhand Flood Disaster Relief

Most of you have read, heard, seen or watched the news about the Uttarakhand tragedy.  This tragedy of Himalayan proportions caused by nature  happened after the gushing waters left behind a trail of death and destruction in Gangotri, Joshimath, Badrinath, Kedarnath and other surrounding areas.   It is estimated that death toll could cross  1,000.  Over 100,000 people have been evacuated and shifted to safer places but many more need to be rescued.   The Government of India, the State Government of Uttarakhand and many other Organizations have been working together relentlessly and providing  emergency help to rescue and save people from this unprecedented devastation.   However, a lot more has to be done.

The India Association of Greater Boston has decided to join in this noble cause of helping people caught in this tragedy.   This is the time to help the people affected by this natural disaster by providing them with financial support.  The IAGB is asking for generous donations for the people victimized by this natural calamity.  The collected funds will be sent to the Prime Minister's Relief  Fund for Uttarakhand Disaster. IAGB is a Tax Exempt Organization.  Your donations are tax deductible.
