Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with daughter Aaradhya at the balcony of their hotel in Cannes Ash posed for snapshots with her tot who had apparently just woken up from sleep and on the red carpet in a gown. The star chose to pile up her hair in a neat bun. After the 'it' girl Freida Pinto, Nimrat has been able to generate quite a similar dose of curiosity. Speaking from Cannes, Nimrat shoots back like a pro, `While some are there for brand endorsements, I was there with the cast of my film. It's a different kind of exposure and interaction.` At Cannes with Ritesh Batra's The Lunchbox, Nimrat says it was like a dream to be associated with such an outstanding cast -- Irrfan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui -- in a film that `struck a chord in the hearts of even the foreign audience`. Starting her career as a print model, Nimrat moved to doing theatre with directors Sunil Shanbag and Manav Kaul in Mumbai. She was part of plays like Baghdad Wedding, All About Women and Red Sparrow. Her Cannes' first: was with Anurag Kashyap's production Peddlers last year. After watching the film, Batra roped in Nimrat for The Lunchbox. Looks like producer Dinesh Patel is leaving no stone unturned to get his 2004 film Benaam (re-christened Naam) to finally get a release. We heard that the filmmaker and his family sold off property in order to raise funds for the Ajay Devgn starrer's promotions and release. We heard that the filmmaker and his family sold off property in order to raise funds for the Ajay Devgn starrer's promotions and release. A relieved Patel says, `Now my wife and daughter are releasing the film. I had to return the money that I had borrowed from the market. So I raised funds after selling off a part of my land.` While his wife Surekha tells us how the family still owes Devgn `quite a lot of money`, industry insiders say the amount is upward of R 1.55 crore. Surekha adds, `Ajay has not only given us his dates for promotions but has also forgone all the money we owed him.` Courtesy: Mid-Day.com Looks like it could well be the time for Salman Khan to finally settle down. While Salman Khan is in Goa to shoot his upcoming home production, apparently he is spending a lot of us-time with alleged ladylove Iulia Vantur. Sources close to the star say that Sallu is even considering marrying the Romanian TV anchor. Courtesy: SantaBanta.com Sources say jail employees have been asked not to get too excited with Sanjay Dutt's presence in their midst; have been warned not to shake hands with the actor, as some of the staffers were suspended for doing so the last time he was lodged in Yerawada. Fifty-three-year-old Sanjay Dutt, who has been held guilty for possessing firearms illegally, is no stranger to Yerawada jail. Dutt, who will now spend 42 months of his life here, had been lodged in the same prison twice in 2007.
