The Pakistan Association of Greater Boston (PAGB) is a voluntary non-profit organization with the primary function of organizing social events for the American Pakistani community in the greater Boston area. PAGB aims to create greater cultural awareness and use its resources to enhance intra-communal harmony and cooperation with other organizations pursuing similar objectives.
On Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 6pm, the Pakistani Association of Greater Boston will present an elegant and fun-filled evening in historic Copley Square at the Sheraton Boston Hotel adjacent to the Shops at Prudential. Shazia Ahmed Khan serves as President of PAGB currently and shares her enthusiastic vision for the organization and the event of December 8th.
Give us your vision for PAGB when you are President of this organization? My vision for PAGB is to mobilize the Pakistani community in participating in social and cultural activities, helping with charity work going on in Pakistan and other places where humanity needs help, and to build good working relationships with other South Asian community and cultural organizations who share similar goals and objectives as PAGB.
For the December 8th event, what are the evening's highlights? This event will feature: World renowned Indian and Pakistani fashion designers and jewelers who will be joining us from the Subcontinent to reveal their latest collections Exclusive clothes and jewelry exhibition following the fashion show •Delectable dinner, featuring vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine •Open dance floor with the musical stylings of DJ Krupal Soni and performances by Mohan Subramaniam
Which charities are you supporting and how can our readers help ? Designers and jewelers will be auctioning precious pieces exclusively to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital and Edhi Foundation. Net proceeds from this event will also be donated to these worthy causes. We invite all to join and support this evening. It promises to be fun for a worthy cause
