After Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Wanted, Partner and Dabangg Sajid – Wajid have come out with Housefull 2. The track does have the sense of “masti†to it.
The track opens with 'Papa Toh Band Bajaye', the theme song of the film. The signature tune that accompanies the 'mukhda' is rocking. The rocking 'retro' feel is kept alive with some superb musical arrangements that has a nice blend of rock n roll and jazz. Neeraj Shridhar is excellent as always, and 'Papa' is another chartbuster
'Anarkali Disco Chali', sung by Mamta Sharma (of 'Munni' fame) promises to be quite the item song for the year. Accompanying Mamta is the highly versatile Sukhwinder Singh. The number has already caught the fancy of the nation ever since its release, and all credit to the composers, lyricist and choreographer for coming up with such a cute item number that has fun and 'masti' written all over it. Finally an item number that one is not embarrassed to listen to!
For those from the Gen X who may not go ga ga over the retro feel of the original 'Anarkali Disco Chali', the two remixes, 'Anarkali Disco Chali-Hyper Mix' by Dj Shiva and 'Anarkali Disco Remix', by DJ Khushi, provide the added zing, pep and racy rhythm and makes the song more club worthy and ear pleasing.
Electronic addendums dominate proceedings in 'Anarkali Disco Chali-Hyper Mix' by DJ Shiva, as is evident from the commencement of the song and provides the number with more zest and spice and makes it more contemporary.
'Anarkali Disco Chali-Remix' by DJ Khushi is more of a 'Dhol' mix where traditional percussion instruments dominate proceedings and has some interesting rap by Nawab Saab. The rhythm too has been rightly enhanced keeping in view of making the song more attractive to the younger audience that thrives on pace and rhythm.
Next up is the hip-hop 'Right Now Now', a love song. The calypso beats are an added attraction that makes this number even more interesting and engaging. Wajid's nasal croonings add to the humorous atmosphere, while Sunidhi Chauhan and Suzzane De Mello provide the oomph and sensuality punch.
'Right Now Now' remix by DJ Khushi is a good time pass. The soft rhythm has been changed but just a bit, while the vocals have been relegated to the background and lots of musical condiments have been thrown in to make the remix more peppy and dance oriented.
Shaan's youthful vocals, Shreya Ghoshal's sugary sweet ones, provide the picture perfect romantic outing with, 'Do You Know' . It is a nice romantic track with breezy guitar strums, bagpipe notes and lovely flute pieces 'Do You Know' remix by DJ Shiva with its 'just right' heightened rhythm and lovely keyboard display and some nice guitar manages to hold attention .
Overall a fun track!
