IANH Announces The 2012 Winners Of The IANH Ten Under Twenty Awards

IANH recently instituted the IANH Ten Under Twenty Awards in order to recognize contributions made by IANH youth members to the community while maintaining high academic standards and participating in extra-curricular activities. The awards were presented to the winners at Dawat 2012 on March 31st at Alpine Grove in Hollis, New Hampshire. A brief description of the award winners is given below:
Aamuktha Porika Aamuktha is a ninth grader at the Academy for Science and Design in Merrimack. Aamuktha will be receiving four college credits for Pre-Calculus from Nashua Community College. She was selected to the People Ambassador Programs as a student ambassador for an upcoming community service trip in Europe. Aamuktha volunteered at the Nashua Soup kitchen several times through IANH and Girls Scout teams. She enjoys swimming and music.
Avvinash Radakrishnan Avvin’s achievements at North South Foundation Education contests and Scripps National Spelling Bee deserve special mention. His participation and achievements in competitive entrepreneurial ventures sponsored by The Young Entrepreneur is commendable. Avvin volunteering at IANH and Student Sustainable Energy Team (SSET) reflects his commitment and dedication to community service. Avvin is grateful to IANH for his achievements in education and community service.
Kasyap Venuthurupalli Kasyap’s hard work in getting adjusted to the U.S. school curriculum is impressive. He maintained his cultural heritage while getting adjusted to his new environment. Kasyap participated in school tennis team, Karate, and Boys Scouts. He also volunteered at the Southern NH Medical Center.
Mayank Dubey Mayank is grateful to IANH for offering numerous opportunities in community service which helped him build his portfolio while maintaining high academic standards. Mayank served as a state ambassador for the Hugh O’Brien Youth (HOBY) Leadership Organization, a nationwide leadership-through-service organization for high-school students. He is also the current IANH youth group president.
Revanth Damerla Revanth’s course work at school and academic achievements are impressive. He participated in the varsity Basket Ball and Tennis. Additionally, Revanth participated in FIRST Robotics competition. He also volunteered at the Manchester soup kitchen through IANH.
Saniya Shah Saniya has an impressive academic record at the Derryfield School. She also participated in several cultural events at IANH. Saniya participated at Tie Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program in her ninth grade. Saniya has volunteered in IANH community service activities. She is the Face Book Editor for IANH youth group.
Sucheta Tamragouri Sucheta volunteering at the Special Olympics is commendable. She received Karate black belt honors. Sucheta achieved all of these while maintaining honor roll at the school. She participated in IANH cultural activities at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home.
Tejas Shroff Tejas impressed us with his perseverance and problem solving skills in achieving honors in academic and extracurricular activities. Tejas volunteered at many IANH events. Tejas is the current Vice President of the IANH youth group.
