UIANE Celebrates First Annual Valentine's Bash

United India Association of New England (UIANE) celebrated their first annual “Valentine's Bash!†on Friday, February 10th, 'Chali Ishq Ki Hawa Chali' at Mantra Restaurant from 7pm till midnight. It was a full house attended by 200 people and twenty five children. It was a very successful & well complimented event! The event drew members from all over the state, as well as New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
The event was organized by the UIA team and cochaired by Rakashi Chand and Neeti Jaggi. The room was beautifully decorated with vases of red roses and rose petals and every lady was welcomed with a red rose. The evening started with a social hour featuring an abundance of mouth watering appetizers.
Dr. Neela Gandhi, President of UIANE welcomed everyone and thanked all the media including India New England, Aap Ka Manoranjan, Lokvani,Sounds of India, Boston South Asian, Sulekha, Eventedge and all the other organizations and individuals who helped promote the event. She stated that though this event was popular for couples, it was an event to share with loved ones and for everyone to enjoy together including Singles, Couples, Young, Old, “in the middle†and Children.
The evening’s program began with fun games for couples, singles and children, a breathtaking hulahoop dance performance by Rajuli Khetarpal, an exquisite fashion show organized by Ruchika Arora of Rare Carats with beautiful models, and facepainting by Serena Arora. A delicious dinner was served, after which everyone was ready to show off their best dance talent and dress as DJ Tej got ready to rock the dance floor.There were several prizes to be won including best dressed couple,male,female and best dancing couple,male and female.The judges Dolly Raja,former President of UIANE and Dr. Seema Arora,Vice President announced the winners at 11pm.The committee members from the UIANE team distributed goodie bags and party favors to adults and children towards the end of the evening.
The UIANE hopes you can join us for our next event, Holi, Spring Festival of Colors, on Sunday March 11th 2012 at Masala Art restaurant in Needham. Last year the Holi was sold out, so please act fast to ensure your seats!
