Be progressive, repel obsessive desires
(हम कामनागà¥à¤°à¤¸à¥à¤¤ न हों - पà¥à¤°à¤—तिशील बनें)

Craving
to seek progress and fulfillment of ambitions seemingly look very
similar. However, on closer examination, we will find them to be
radically different entities. Both of them may induce similar initial
passion but eventually lead to different directions and have different
outcomes.
Progress is the necessity which induces the character to evolve,
talents to excel and capabilities to grow. This means that it triggers
development of all those abilities which can help body, mind, efforts
and nature to stay in good shape, become refined and developed in every
way. This is indeed a genuine progress because only people equipped with
such a developed character have desirable inner strength to take
courageous steps and achieve astonishing feats.
On the other hand, the person who is obsessively overambitious has a
state of mind like that of a drug addict. Ambitions have no end. Many
people, regardless of their situation, ability and resources, often
cherish such unrealistic ambitions and will always remain anxious to
realize them, as quickly as they can and in whichever way possible. Such
ambitions are indeed almost impossible to fulfill and yet keeps the
person extremely restless and impatient to realize them. The intense
desire that cannot adapt to the reality is called an ambition. It is an
indication shallowness rather than that of progressiveness!
