Compiled by Anoop Kumar 12/08/2011 (This article is sponsored by Monique Kornfeld, Esq.) Bollywood Legend Dev Anand passed away on Saturday December
3, 2011 at the age of 88. Hindi cinema’s evergreen star who epitomised the
suave, urban gentleman on screen, died after a cardiac arrest in London. He was loved and adored for who he was - a
happy-go-lucky man, who was full of life. Mr. Anand received the prestigious
Filmfare Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1992. In 2001 he received India’s
third-highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan, for his contribution to Hindi
cinema. Katrina Kaif has apparently stated that Salman Khan was her
first serious relationship in a magazine interview. And as for the buzz about
her and Ranbir Kapoor, Kat diplomatically states all the talk was only because
they did two films that worked well for both of them! Controversies continue to dog "The Dirty Picture"
with a city court directing police to book actress Vidya Balan for posing for
indecent photographs on the film posters and promos. The judge asked police to
book the actress under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and also under
Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986. Police was also asked
to take action against public display of posters and promotional advertisements
of the controversial movie. The
petitioner said the posters and hoardings of the film were spoiling the minds
of the people and causing harm to the society. Buzz is that the release date of Saif Ali Khan's next, Agent
Vinod will not be announced until director Sriram Raghavan is sure of meeting
his deadline. Sources also say that a couple of day's time of shoot is also
pending. Earlier, the film's release was scheduled for December 9. Talking
about the time taken to make the spy-thriller, a source says, "After
completing a schedule, Sriram would edit the portions and revisit the script. This
would help him figure out if some scenes in the next schedules could be
replaced by just a couple of intermediate shots. So the screenplay and shot
division for the next schedules would undergo some change, for a better
product, instead of salvaging it on the editing table." The countdown for Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Don 2: The
King Is Back" has begun and director Farhan Akhtar reveals that the
multi-city promotional tour will begin Dec 12. "'Don's' Indian city visits start from
the 12th... will update you about it when schedule is confirmed, " Farhan
posted on twitter page. The film is a sequel to "Don: The Chase Begins
Again" and the action thriller also has Priyanka Chopra and Boman Irani. It
will release Dec 23. You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
